2024 Cape Coral Winter Bocce Tournament

We are excited to host you for our annual Cape Coral Winter Bocce Tournament. The new management of the Cape Coral Bocce Association, led by new President Andrea Panetta, is excited to announce that this year we will be raising money for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as well. Raffle Tickets will be available for purchase and donations will be accepted so we can collectively send the hospital the funds raised. Many of the best teams bocce teams in the USA have played here before and are returning to compete on February 23 – 24, 2024 (Friday – Saturday). On Sunday, you are able to play in an optional tournament if you want to stick around in the warm sunshine for an extra day of bocce. You are welcomed to arrive on Thursday so you can practice and get used to the courts.
Some players are from Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Ohio, Kentucky, Delaware, Pennsylvania and of course from different parts of Florida.
Pool Play will start midday on Friday and continue through Saturday morning, then the double elimination playoffs will begin Saturday in the late morning.
Pizza will be provided on Friday night and BBQ food will be provided on Saturday. Joe Radicchi and his wife Petie are generously paying for and donating the food and are matching the raffle donations. Overtime Pizza is an entertainment venue and our local pizza shop that is giving us a great deal. Annie’s Restaurant is also contributing all the salads for the BBQ.
- This year there is a $5000 guaranteed 1st place prize.
- 4 Person Teams (men and woman are both welcome to play).
- 2 players at each end of the court.
- Other Prizes are based on participation.
- Backboard is dead. (if the ball played doesn’t hit another ball before hitting the backboard, it is removed from the court).
